TO AGING WELL WITH DIGNITY- FEATURING CREDIBLE LIFE ENHANCING TOOLS AND SERVICES
MY PRAYER4U
In Psalms 5, it is written, “Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
In being a caregiver, you must be girded with the word of God and a frequent reader of the Bible. I was a caregiver for my mother who had Alzheimer's. The word of God carried me through the process.
With caregiving; you may miss days at work, friends may distance themselves from you not understanding this particular time in your life. You may find yourself being judged by those around you on how well you are actually caring for your Mom or Dad.
There is a song by Louis B. Armstrong, “Nobody knows the trouble I've seen. Nobody knows but Jesus.” That’s your life now. Actually it has always been your life. Only God/Christ Jesus understands what you are going through and others may be at a loss to help you.
This is when you know to do as David mentions in Psalm 5, look up and ask for cover.
